Booking Freight

To begin a booking request, from the main Freight page, select the Book Freight button in the top right corner:

Once selected, you will see a stepper indicating your current stage in the booking process.

Within the modal, you can add a linked shipment (Project/Inbounds/Wholesale) and enter the ID. An order reference number can also be added if needed.

When linking a shipment to your freight request, any available address information and pallet details will be transferred to the freight booking. To ensure accuracy, these details cannot be altered during the booking process. Any necessary changes must be made at the source level (within the Project/Inbound/Wholesale), which will then require generating a new freight quote.

Note that for the shipment you wish to link, there are only specific statuses that are eligible:

  • Eligible statuses for Projects - Submitted, Processing, Completed
  • Eligible statuses for Wholesale - New, In Queue, In Progress, Quality Review, Awaiting Pickup, and Complete
  • Eligible statuses for Inbound - Enroute

Alternatively, you can start your request without a linked shipment by selecting None.

Select your options and enter an order reference number if you have one before selecting the Next button in the bottom right corner:

Next, if you requested freight without a linked shipment, you’ll need to add a contact for both the pickup and delivery (with associated addresses). If you have a linked shipment, the previously entered information will populate:

If you are creating an Inbound shipment, you will have the ability to either create or select a previously created supplier (found under 360 > Inventory > Suppliers). If selecting a previously created supplier, the details will transfer to the pickup address field once selected.

By selecting either Add Pickup Contact or Add Delivery Contact, a modal will appear to allow you to add contacts, which allows you to add a person’s email, phone number, and address. Contacts can also be set up before attempting to book under Settings > Contacts:

You can select a previously added contact from the list, or create a new contact by selecting the + New Contact button:

If you don’t wish to save the contact information you are adding, you can select the Use Just Once button or if you will be using this contact for future bookings, select Save This Contact.

Note that providing accurate accessorial information for either pickup or delivery addresses is important, as the carrier may apply additional fees to your shipment if these are not provided ahead of time, or incorrectly. You can add your accessorial by selecting the Add Accessorial's field and selecting the ones needed for your shipment.

If you have a linked shipment, the previously entered information will populate:

Once the step is completed, select the drop-downs for Pickup Date and Delivery Date and choose the dates for each respectively, then select the Next button in the bottom right corner.

On the next page, you can see the Pallet Information related to your shipment. If you have a linked shipment, this information will have already been populated. If you don’t have a linked shipment, you will need to select the Add Pallet button in the top right to set up the number of pallets for your freight request, as well as the details of each pallet:

Click on the Select SKU drop down and choose the SKU for your pallet, then add the weight and dimensions, and if the pallet is stackable before selecting the Submit button.
Note if your pallet(s) will have mixed SKUs, please provide notes within the freight booking/linked shipment for our freight team.

Note that only Active SKUs will be available in this list; if a SKU does not have the NMFC attribute set, they will not be able to move forward:

If there is any linked Project/Inbound/Wholesale shipment, then only SKU’s identified in those links will populate within the Select SKU drop down:

If you make an error and need to change your pallet details, or remove a pallet, you can do so from the buttons beside each corresponding pallet on the right (Edit and the Trash icon, respectively)

Once you have added all your pallets, you can select the Get Quotes button in the bottom right to generate your freight options.

A few carrier options will appear, once a carrier is selected you can Save quote or Book freight on the bottom right corner.

If “ Book Freight “ is selected you will be able to view the freight details, Dates, Billing and freight information.
