Meet Saamia: Shipfusion’s New Finance Associate

1. What has your career this far looked like in the tech industry?

Amazing, this role has been a real stepping stone into the tech industry. Growing up and seeing how technology has transformed makes me truly grateful to be a part of this industry. Throughout my undergraduate career, I’ve had the opportunity to learn about the theoretical aspects of working with technology pertaining to the field of finance, and my role now gives me the privilege to apply those concepts in real life. I couldn’t be more excited! 

2. What plans do you see for Shipfusion? 

I see a tremendous growth trajectory in store for Shipfusion ahead. In a world where eCommerce has practically transformed the way we shop, Shipfusion has a huge opportunity to take over and knock down all our other competitors. The way we run business is what truly sets us apart, and I see a long bright future ahead of us! 

What are you most excited about in your new role?

Many reasons excite me about this opportunity. The most riveting part of my role is being part of the change that will continue to make us better as a company. It’s the ability to find areas of improvement, squeeze our margins and cultivate the enthusiastic spirit each member of our team possesses. Thus far, my two weeks have been so exciting, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store! 

Favorite Social Media Platform: Tiktok. Single-handedly the reason why my screen time is as high as it is. 

Last Online Purchase: My first pair of Jordans! I love collecting cool sneakers. My goal is to have a dedicated sneaker closet one day.

Last Gadget Purchase: An air fryer! This is a result of going down a rabbit hole of watching cooking TikToks (usually every single day), but I’m happy that I impulsively bought this little thing!
